How the Second Coming, or "The Rapture" will Actually Happen
Many preachers and teachers of the end times have given their own stipulated title to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and call it, "The Rapture." First of all, those words "The Rapture," is not anywhere in the Bible. The proper term would be Second Coming, nevertheless, terminology is not that important, however, the event is very important; such as to not be led astray.
According to preachers who teach "The Rapture" theory, they say it will be a normal day and everyone will be going about their business and suddenly people will be lifted into the air by the Lord and chaos in the streets will follow. They justify this event according to the scripture of St. Matthew 24:40-41, which reads:
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
According to their interpretation, one of the people is a Christian and will be taken by the Lord and the other person is not a Christian and will be left behind. There have been movies made based on this theory, but the theory leaves out too many concepts and scriptures of the Bible.
Though the scripture says "two shall be in the field," it is not talking about two people, literally; it is talking about one person who is made up of one fleshly body and one spiritual soul. Our bodies will be left and return to dust but our souls will be taken. 1 Corinthians talks about the two in chapter 15, which reads:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
Every person is flesh and soul and since flesh cannot enter the kingdom of God, the body will be left and the soul will be taken.
Furthermore, the Bible talks about many events that happen on earth that will lead to the Second Coming giving God a reason to save his people from destruction and tribulation. These things have to happen first thus is will not be just a normal day. Jesus himself gives warning to the disciples about what people should look for at that day, he says:
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
In the same passage of St. Matthew that he talks about two people being in the field, there is an entire prophesy of what will happen days, even moments before he comes. It goes on to describe terrible times in the world. How people will betray one another and hate one another; it talks about the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet. He warns not to make major changes in your life and to pray for people with children. Then he mentions the great tribulation.
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
The tribulation of those days does not refer to the tribulation period; they are not the same thing. The tribulation period begins after the "tribulation of those days," there is a difference. St. Matthew describes the differences, which reads:
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Once this terrible event happens, the Lord will come and gather his people and save them from the destruction. There are only a few things that could cause the sun and the moon to be darkened and the stars to fall from heaven, and one is a nuclear blast on earth.
It also specifies a day and an hour that this will happen that even the angels in heaven do not know. But when it happens, it will happen by fire, not by anything else. 2 Peter 3:7 says, "But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." Verse 10 says, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
Believers who are saved, who have the Holy Ghost with oil in their lamps, will not suffer the traumatic experience of being burned by fire because it is this moment when we will be changed, "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." (1 Corinthians 15:52). The flesh will be burned but the soul will be saved by the spirit of God so we will not feel the pain at all. But those who do not possess God's spirit will feel the pain.
Jesus also says, "For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be" Matt. 24:27. In other words, as quick as lightening strikes is as quick as a moment and twinkling of an eye.
1 Thessalonians reads:
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
This is the same event as St. Matthew 24:31 when he says "he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." But all this can only happen after the tribulation of those days, which is a massive destruction of a third part of the earth by fire.
Once the bodies are left behind, the Lord says in St. Matthew 24:28, "For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together." Our bodies and many unbeliever's bodies will be left as carcasses for the fowl of the air to feed on, but our souls will be with the Lord and the souls of the unbelievers will be with you know who, you know where.
So here is the actual scenario and what the Second Coming will look like. By the time it happens, society will be in a state of affliction yet only believers will be able to recognize the turmoil and recognize those who are deceiving the people.
Christianity will be hated yet false preachers of Christianity will rise and fool many people. People will be cruel, unkind and deceitful, even friends and family. The spirit of the anti-Christ will rise as leaders and they will deceive many people and cause conflict and division among the populist.
Nations will come against each other and tensions will rise to the point of one nation defending itself against another. Then, the world's worst nightmare will happen and one nation will launch a nuclear weapon and another, then another and three parts of the earth will be burned. Revelation 8:12 reads:
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
Within that same hour, as the blast spreads across the earth, born again believers will be caught in the blast but will hear the trumpet sound and see the Lord coming and be delivered as their bodies will be burned but their souls will be saved. Unbelievers will also see the Lord coming but cannot be saved, likewise, many false Christians will cry unto the Lord but because they have no oil in their lamps he will answer them and say, "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity" St. Matthew 7:23.
Once the believers are gone, the eagles and fowl of the air will eat at all the dead bodies. The world and those who are left will panic and life will forever be changed. This is the tribulation period. The anti-Christ will rise and call for calm and peace and for three years there will be peace but after the three years, he will begin the mark of the beast. All those who do not accept it and profess to be Christian will be killed.
This is when the battle of Armageddon will ensue and all the nations will come against Israel. After the battle, the Lord will return again to judge the nations and separate the sheep nations from the goat nations. He will come with all his saints, those from ancient times and those who were saved during the Second Coming, for we shall be able to judge the world with him.STREAMING ... The Second Coming
